DOUBLE TAXATION

Portugal has signed Double Taxation Treaties with several countries in order to avoid conflicting interests between two jurisdictions:  the country where the income arises and the one where the taxpayer is resident. The treaty protects you from being taxed twice and normally takes precedence over local law. In addition, the treaty opens the channels of communication between tax authorities to help combat tax evasion.

TMPARTNERS are happy to provide you and your home country tax adviser with full details of Portuguese tax returns and payments in order to ensure full compliance with your home country tax obligations.
